Okay, so Linkin Park will most definitely always be one of my favorite bands regardless of what the radio makes of them. When I first heard their new single, The Catalyst, a few weeks ago I was a bit iffy about it.
I kept expecting the song to break out into hardcore rock and I would start jamming out with a fat smile on my face. That, sadly, did not happen and I, yet again, became a bit disappointed that Linkin Park is no longer what they used to be.
That is until I saw the performance they recorded for the MTV VMA’s this year. This performance made me realize that the song doesn’t need to break out into hardcore rock. It’s simply amazing the way it is. I must purchase this album immediately!
Also, Mike Shinoda’s new look is SUPER HOT!! ;)
